The rectangular main square or Hauptplatz is lined with colourful houses with porches and arcades. To the southwest, the elegant tower of the parish church catches the eye, while the castle tower rises in the northeast. However, the most spectacular building remains the Italian Renaissance-style former town hall - the Rathaus.
