Beaverbrook Art Gallery
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Opened in 1959 and extended in 1983, this museum is a major art centre of Atlantic Canada. Designed by Lord Beaverbrook, who personally selected the works of art before he bequeathed them to New Brunswick, it is home to a remarkable collection of British painting, particularly portraits, from the 18C and 19C. Also on display are canvases by artists from continental Europe (Cranach, Corneille de Lyon, Botticelli, Delacroix, Tissot, Dali) and from Canada (Cornelius Krieghoff).
