The Michelin Guide's review
This spacious building was designed by New York-based architect Richard Meier in 1985 and restored in 2013. It exhibits 75 must-see pieces, including the Frankfurt kitchen: the first fitted kitchen in history. Visit the temporary exhibition, but also the room where light is shed on the architect's work. He joined the building to the Villa Metzler, once a chemist's holiday home and now the museum's historical core, which is decorated in various period styles (including Biedermeier, Jugendstil etc).
