The Michelin Guide's review
The focal point of this 14C palace is its sumptuous frescoes, executed with an almost perfect technical grasp of perspective. Those in the loggia depict the legend of Romulus and Remus and seem almost to stand out from the wall. In the studio, there are depictions of two of the seven arts taught in the Middle Ages, the Trivium (Grammar, Rhetoric, Dialect) and the Quadrivium (Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, Astronomy). The frescoes in the chapel, relating the life of Mary, are signed by Ottaviano Nelli and were finished in 1424.
