Situated on the banks of the Río Frio, this 7.5ha botanical garden has several hundred species that are representative of the ecosystems of Santander's dry and wet forests: orchids, heliconia, epiphytes and ferns, medicinal plants and giant bamboos, palms... The gardens lie close to the river and are frequented by squirrels, tortoises, butterflies, ducks, iguanas, chameleons and armadillos.
