The Michelin Guide's review
Built in a splendid location, on one the highest points in Florence, this church harks back to a Benedictine monastery that was founded here in the 11C in memory of Tuscan St Minias. In front of it is a broad staircase, framed by a picturesque cemetery. From there, a landscape composed like a painting is revealed, including a hill that incorporates the Boboli gardens. As for the church, it is one of the finest examples of Florentine Romanesque architecture.
