The Michelin Guide's review
The last of Florence's great Renaissance private palaces and one of the finest examples of civil architecture of the period, this palazzo was built in the late 15C for the wealthy merchant Filippo Strozzi. The magnificent stone cornice which crowns the building is a real masterpiece. Architect Simone del Pollaiolo also designed the elegant courtyard with an open loggia on the upper floor, which is now a busy meeting-place. Today the building houses exhibitions and a centre of contemporary culture.
