The Michelin Guide's review
The island of St Nicholas (Gemiler) is a small rocky outcrop barely 1km long that juts into the sea. The entire island is strewn with boulders, bushes and ruins. Through its basilicas, houses, tombs and cisterns, Gemiler has preserved the remains of an extraordinary 4C Byzantine religious city devoted to the worship of St Nicholas.
