Renovated in 2017, Falun Mine displays an extensive collection illustrating the history of the site from an industrial and technical point of view. Of particular interest are the inventions of Christopher Polhem (1661-1751), father of mechanics in Sweden. The history of iron production methods is illustrated by pictures and scale models. The collection of minerals, the metal plaques used to strike coins from 1650 to 1717, and 18C copper coins are also of interest.
