The Michelin Guide's review
The Priorat region, with its pleasant capital Falset, is characterised by its red soil and a mosaic of vegetation which includes forests, vineyards, olive groves and almond trees. The region is renowned not only for its red wine, but also for its DO Siurana olive oil. A paradise for hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers, the area is also home to the Montsant natural park. Numerous opportunities for tastings in the many local wineries make the area very popular with wine enthusiasts.
