The Michelin Guide's review
Largest and wildest of the many parks that provide verdant oases in Eugene's urban core, the 143-acre haven offers a natural blend of riverfront lined with cottonwoods and willows, grassy meadows favored by meadowlarks and butterflies, and woods of incense cedars, Douglas firs and white oaks. Several ponds and other wetlands abound with ducks, frogs, great blue herons, dragonflies and busy but seldom-seen beavers. Developed sections include a rock garden, playground and community garden.
