The Michelin Guide's review
Today the keep and palace house one of Portugal's most famous pousadas. Built in the 13C, the keep is crowned by pyramid-shaped merlons, and its upper section is flanked by balconies and corbels. On the second floor, you will notice a lovely octagonal room with trefoil windows. From the top, you have a panoramic view over the town and Alentejo where the high ground of the Serra de Ossa rises up in the south.
