The Michelin Guide's review
The Palace of the Kings of Navarre is an exceptional example of Romanesque civil architecture from the 12C. Its long façade has arcades and gemel bays noteworthy for their capitals. In the palace is a museum with a collection of works by the painter Gustavo de Maeztu y Whitney (1887-1947), whose work on colour and attention to detail, in both his landscapes and characters, lends power and breadth to his style.
