Route 44, towards Parque Nacional de Jaragua as far as the village of Enriquillo, plays hide and seek with the sea and mountains. It is one of the country's most beautiful roads, showcasing sheer cliffs, white pebble stone beaches, balnearios (natural pools) and fishing villages, all of which against a backdrop of lush vegetation.
