Enns Belfry

The Michelin Guide's review
The 60m-high belfry standing in the centre of the square is the town's landmark. In 1564, the citizens of Enns built it to house the bells and as a watchtower. The late-Gothic and Renaissance-style Stadtturm bears the Imperial eagle and Habsburg coat of arms. A magnificent panoramic view, stretching across town and, on a clear day, as far as the Pre-Alps, rewards those visitors brave enough to tackle the many steps.
