Huazang Temple
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Built at the end of the Ming Dynasty, this temple arranged over tiers was faithfully restored in the 1970s. Surrounded by white marble balustrades, adorned with brass tiling and topped with golden glazed tiles, it glistens and shimmers in the sun, like a supernatural construction, fit for the gods. The upper hall, nicknamed "Golden Summit", occupies the site of China's first Buddhist temple.
