Excavations have led to the discovery of the remains of a Roman villa (dating back to the 2nd half of the 4C), the decoration of which was probably just as sumptuous as that of Casale. A diamond and spiral-shaped mosaic pavement of the square peristyle, as well as three superb mosaics illustrating hunting and erotic scenes and the scene depicting the handing over of the ransom for the return of Hector's body have been unearthed.
