The Daskalolivnica architectural ensemble consists of traditional houses within an enclosure planted with flowers. It includes two churches. The first, dedicated to St Nicholas, is partly buried. Built in 1804, it contains fine murals (sumptuous iconostasis). The main characteristic of the second, the Church of Our Lady (Sv. Bogorodica), is its monumental dimensions, unusual in Bulgaria. The most remarkable house is probably that of Pope Nikolov (1830).
