The Michelin Guide's review
The 32ha National Edinburgh Zoo occupies the south face of Corstorphine Hill. The most popular attraction is the Penguin Parade, the procession of a colony of 30 king penguins and 100 gentoo penguins. In addition to Australian koalas, giant pandas, wolves and tigers are indigenous species, among which the wildcat, pine marten and golden eagle. From the top of the hill (155m, panoramic table), there is a view over the whole of Edinburgh, the Pentlands to the south and the mountains around Loch Lomond.
