This modern building is home to the Rhineland-Westphalia Collection, devoted to 20C painting. Start on the second floor, where you will see works by Matisse, Bonnard, Kirchner et al. Don't miss Palazzo Reale, an installation by Beuys (1985), or the 92 paintings and drawings by Paul Klee, who was a teacher at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 1930 to 1933. Regular exhibitions by contemporary artists are organised here.
