Designed in Dundee in 1901 especially for scientific discovery missions, the RRS Discovery is the city's pride and joy. It was commissioned by Captain Scott, during his expedition to the Antarctic (1901-1904). Today in dry docks, it is the showpiece of an audio-visual exhibition devoted to Scott's Antarctic trip and other voyages.
