The Michelin Guide's review
The substantial Dominican community, a rival of the Franciscans, was founded in 1225. The bell tower (14-18C) crowned by a cupola doesn't really detract from the monastery's fortified allure, because it was built into the town's ramparts. That said, the cloister is refreshingly peaceful, maybe due to the lovely orange tree garden nearby. The museum itself displays the monastery's sacred art collections, along with priceless paintings and ancient manuscripts.
