The Michelin Guide's review
The ornate exterior decoration (columns, cornices, pediments, statues and dome) of this early 18C Baroque cathedral is in striking contrast with the simple interior, adorned with huge Baroque altarpieces. In the chancel is a polyptych of the Assumption of the Virgin, attributed to Titian. The highpoint of the visit is however the treasure, home to the famous reliquaries of St Blaise (12C) an attractive Madonna, attributed to Raphael and a Romanesque-Byzantine icon of the Virgin and Child (13C).
