The Michelin Guide's review
Some 2.5km/1.3mi long, the hiking trail furrowing the wild coast of Kuniga with its weathered cliffs and green grazing lands, offers breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. Part of the hike features the crest of the spectacular basalt cliffs of Matengai that rise to over 250m/820ft. Other not-to-be-missed pit stops include the natural stone arch of Tsutenkyo and the underwater grotto (Akekure-no-iwaya). On the way, you may encounter wild horses along with other species, native to the Oki region.
