Corrigall Farm Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A most delightful and successful museum of farming and rural life. The group of 18C buildings has been restored to its mid-19C appearance. The original "firehouse" has been subdivided by a gable fireplace into in-by and oot-by. The in-by was the family room while the oot-by had pig stalls and recessed goose nests. The present exhibition area was the byre, which was later replaced by a separate building with its ingenious flagstone stalls, drain and angle nooks for hens' nests.
