The Michelin Guide's review
Located in the middle of a beautiful park and encircled by a moat, this castle was the residence of the former German emperor, Wilhelm II, from 1920 until his death in 1941. Built in the 14C, the castle was modified in 1780. The interior, which has remained unchanged since the emperor's death, is now a museum displaying exhibits (paintings, tapestries, silverware, uniforms, ceremonial sabres...) associated with Wilhelm II. A separate exhibition space highlights the Netherlands' neutrality during the First World War.
