The Michelin Guide's review
As in all towns of Saxon origin, the main square of the town is referred to as the "brink". It is here that weekly markets are held (Friday mornings and Saturdays). The façade at nos 11 and 12, dating back to the beginning of the 17C, is of particular note. The richly decorated Penninckhuis (n° 89) dates from 1600. N° 84 is home to the traditional Bussink's Koekwinkel, which sells the delicious deventer koek (gingerbread cake).
