The Michelin Guide's review
This large, leaning edifice, built in 1528 in the late-Gothic style, had a lofty arcaded perron added in 1643. The roof, flanked by 4 turrets, is crowned by a wooden steeple. On its north-facing side, note the enormous hanging cauldron in which counterfeiters are said to have been boiled alive in former times. Today, the building houses the Waag Museum, in which several themed exhibitions on the town's history are held every year.
