The Michelin Guide's review
A Palladian mansion designed by Matthew Brettingham, its north façade by James Paine, and south façade and interior decoration by Robert Adam in 1760. In spite of its various designers the Curzon family seat is a jewel in the crown of 18C English architecture. The rooms centre on the Marble Hall. The brightly coloured Drawing Room was decorated by Adam. Note the 19m-high dome above the rotunda. In the Ante Room and Dressing Room are works by 17C and 18C masters.
