A very romantic mountain lake, Doo Lough is enclosed by Mweelrea and the Sheeffry Hills. Heading off from the northern end of the lake, experienced hikers might want to tackle Ben Bury (795m) and Mweelrea (16km, a strenuous 8hr-climb, bring a map), the latter revealing stunning views over the region.
