Connaught Place
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A huge square surrounded by an incessant flow of traffic, Connaught Place is the focal point and showcase of the Indian capital. It officially bears the name of the Duke of Connaught, George V's uncle, but is usually referred to as "CP" here. Surrounded by colonial-style buildings, it is also a haven for conmen, whose scams are still effective on tourists newly arrived in Delhi: remain vigilant.
