The Michelin Guide's review
Alt. 2,312 m. The pass separates the Albula basin to the north, a tributary of the Rhine, and the Alvra valley to the south, a tributary of the Inn. Between the pass and La Punt, the villages of La Punt and Chamues-ch, watched over by the ruins of Guardaval, soon appear at the bottom of the Inn valley. From La Punt to Samedan, you follow the flat Inn valley floor until the peaks of the Bernina massif come into view through the Pontresina gap.
