  The Michelin Guide's review
The Montgolfier family were primarily paper-makers, as you will learn at this museum which offers a complete retrospective of the production of paper on the banks of the River Deûme, including the history of the prestigious Papeterie de Vidalon, which became the royal paper factory in 1784. The basement is home to a traditional workshop with its vat, set of forms, drying rack and wooden press, as well as various industrial machines such as a large press from the early 20C.
