  The Michelin Guide's review
Devoted to protecting the heritage of Nova Scotia's black community, this centre features a library and exhibition rooms that tackle the subjects of immigration, military service and religion. The centre was built as a memorial to William Hall (1827-1904), the first Nova Scotian and first black to be awarded the Victoria Cross, the Commonwealth's military medal for gallantry "in the face of the enemy".
