Eight kilometres and a huge bamboo suspension bridge separate Dak To, a strategic American base during the Vietnam War, and Dak Ri Jop, home to the Sedang ethnic people. Here also, vestiges of the conflict have been preserved, and are occasionally used for some surprising purposes. Don't leave the town without admiring the communal house.
