  The Michelin Guide's review
The Cullinan, the largest raw diamond in the world, was extracted from a Cullinan Diamond Mines deposit in 1905, three years after the vein was discovered. The size of a fist, it weighed 621g (3 106 carats) but was divided into several pieces to be cut. To find out more, pay a visit to this open-air mine, the largest in South Africa at 500m by 1km.
