The Michelin Guide's review
Before housing the Museo Cuauhnahuac, the Palacio de Cortés, built in the 16C, had a changing destiny, first as the residence of Cortés, then as a prison and federal office building. Today this medieval fortress-like palace displays essentially historical collections ranging from Pre-Colombian civilisations to the Conquest. Note the mural by Diego Rivera decorating one of the loggias, a true human epic.
