The Michelin Guide's review
Exquisitely planted and meticulously maintained botanical delights fill every nook and cranny of this two-acre garden, established in 1966 by the Sherman Foundation as a setting for its research library of the Pacific Southwest. The lavish, colorful gardens specialize in tropical and subtropical plants and desert species from that region. The tiny adobe (1940) on the grounds displays old photographs and other items from the Sherman Research Library's Southwestern History collection.
