The Michelin Guide's review
The best way to explore the upper town of Cordes is to stroll through its cobbled streets and admire the beautiful Gothic houses (13C-14C). The carving and the windows of the craft shops are particularly worthy of note. The largest and best-preserved houses line the Grand-Rue Raymond VII (or rue Droite); note the warm pinkish Salles sandstone of their façades. Don't miss the Maison du Grand Fauconnier, which now houses the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum, and the Grand Veneur house, decorated with hunting scenes.
