The Michelin Guide's review
Most of the buildings of Verne Monastery are 17C-18C. Before entering, admire the handsome carved portal on the right. The former hospitality rooms are open to visitors (grain store, bakery...), as is a cell, where the monks prayed and worked and the grand cloister with 90m/300ft of galleries and the small cloister, adorned with serpentine arches. Next is the oil mill and the store room, with an imposing wooden Christ.
