The Michelin Guide's review
An impressive stillness reigns over the rows of 9 387 Carrara marble crosses overlooking Omaha Beach, one of the most famous D-Day Landing beaches. The Garden of the Missing, where a wall bears the names of 1 557 dead, stands in the axis of the central pathway of the Colleville-sur-Mer American Military Cemetery. The visitor centre pays tribute to all those who fought in the Second World War and in particular to the American and Allied soldiers who have been laid to rest in the cemetery.
