The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in the Hôtel Dupuy d'Angeac (1838), the museum has a folk art and traditions collection (reconstruction of a rural house evoking the life of a 19C Charentais wine grower), an archaeological collection (including a 5.56m-long monoxylous canoe dating back to 3000 BC), and a fine-arts and decorative-arts collection (Art Nouveau glass-paste pieces by Emile Gallé).
