The Michelin Guide's review
The museum is established in the former abbey palace, the elegant 15C home built by Jean de Bourbon, 42nd abbot of Cluny. It displays abbey remains found during excavation work. You can see scale models, architectural details from Clunisian houses and two superimposed pavements, representative of techniques used in the late Middle Ages. The library contains over 4,500 books, including rare early printed books.
