The Michelin Guide's review
The 214m-long Clifton Suspension Bridge, designed by Brunel, seems to emerge out of the forest to span the River Avon. It is undoubtedly one of the finest suspension bridges in England. Unfortunately, funds ran out and Brunel never saw its completion. He died in 1859, five years before it was finished.
