The largest citadel in Rajasthan is built on a 160m-high promontory and shelters behind 12km-long walls. The extent of the fortress becomes apparent from the Tower of Victory, which commemorates the victory of Rana Kumbha over the Sultan of Malwa. In addition to the ruins of Rana Kumbha's palace (14C and 15C), don't miss the temples of Kumbha Shyama Ji, Mira Bai and Sammidheshvara. The citadel is a UNESCO world heritage site.
