The Michelin Guide's review
It's well worth walking up the majestic staircase (around 100 steps) which leads to Wat Phra That Chom Kitti - by doing so you'll pass the temple's magnificent, stucco adorned Khmer porticoes. According to chroniclers, the temple was built around the 10C and restored on many occasions. At the summit, a beautiful crooked chedi, built out of laterite, stands in the centre of the esplanade with a fine, bronze plated and ringed spire rising impressively towards the sky. On each of its sides, a niche houses a Sukhothai-style Buddha.
