Temple of the Ancestors
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A wide façade lined with pillars guards the entrance to this large temple, which was built in the 16C to honour the ancestors of the Luo clan. The temple's two courtyards and three pavilions are decorated with symbolic animals: fish, dragons and phoenix can be seen on the guardrails, door handles and panels. In the second hall, dedicated to the male ancestors, the beams have retained their original orange hue. The smaller hall to the rear of the building is one of the few pavilions dedicated to female ancestors.
