The Michelin Guide's review
Modified between the 12C and 16C, the church became a collegiate church in 1478 and then a basilica in 1948. The choir and the transept, which were embellished during the Renaissance, are its most interesting sections. Note the 16C tree of Jesse sculpted on the wall of the apsidal chapel near the arm of the transept, a work by the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Bouchardon. At the end of the nave, the St Sepulchre chapel houses a powerfully realistic entombment (1471).
