The Michelin Guide's review
Here you are in the Central-West region of Brazil (Centro-Oeste), in the northern Pantanal around Chapada dos Guimarães. The national park was founded in 1989 to protect the site from the destruction caused by gold prospectors in particular. It is home to wildlife (such as jaguars, capybaras, tapirs) and magnificent waterfalls, the highest of which, Véu da Noiva, tumbles from 86m. A paradise for fans of rafting and hiking, but be sure to seek information from the guides at the main entrance to the park.
