The Michelin Guide's review
Standing on a rock overlooking the Vltava, Krumlov Castle is the largest in the country after that of Prague. Boasting forty or so buildings, it features in particular a Renaissance tower and a two-storey bridge spanning the moat separating the main theatre complex, as well as splendid gardens. Other highlights not to be missed include the tower gallery, with its view over the rooftops of Krumlov, the chamber of masks decorated in 1748 by Joseph Lederer, the opulent collection of carriages, and the Baroque theatre.
